MLK CELEBRATION OF TERRELL INC.

"I HAVE BEEN TO THE MOUNTAIN TOP."

MLK Celebration of Terrell, Inc. is a 501c3 organization. We are registered with Guidestar and are members of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce.
Established in 2006.

The mission of MLK Celebration of Terrell, Inc. is to honor, uphold and promote the legacy and ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr by supporting our youth with college scholarships, by hosting a free community-wide celebration on MLK Day, and by working cooperatively with diverse community organizations in creating a community where all lives are valued and protected.

Scholarships

MLK Celebration of Terrell, Inc. awards college scholarships to graduating Terrell High School Seniors. We select students based on the "content of their character," students who have embraced Dr. King's ideals of community service and dedication to education, and who show financial need.

Students should contact their counselor to apply.

Annual Celebration

Every year in January on the designated MLK Holiday, we host an entertainment program honoring Dr. King and recognize community members who have exemplified Dr. King's legacy of service.
